The HD-3WXL IRONCLAD scans the hard drive serial number, erases the hard drive, captures an image of the degaussed hard drive, records the operator's ID, and documents the erasure status of the degaussed hard drive. The HD-3WXL Degausser will degauss all hard drive and tape formats that will fit in the 5.9” x 4.5” x 1.7” degaussing chamber – including PC hard drives, LTO, SuperDLT, DLT, 3592, and 9940 tape cartridges. With continuous duty and erasure cycle times of 10 seconds, the HD-3WXL Degausser is ideal for high-volume users who require less operator intervention and automatic operation. .

Powerful 9,000 Oersted Pulse
The HD-3WXL produces an 9,000 oersted electromagnetic pulse that is several times stronger than the read/write heads in a hard drive or tape drive, making it more efficient and much faster than every software-based erasure program. Since it does not rely on software, the HD-3WXL Degausser also has the ability to degauss failed or damaged hard drives and tapes, completely and permanently, regardless of the operating system. Software programs cannot do that.

Easy To Use
The HD-3WXL Degausser is exceptionally user-friendly. Simply slide your media into the slot on one side of the machine, push a single button, and within twelve seconds your media will discharge to the output slide on the opposite side of the machine. * Please note that hard drives and LTO cartridges are not reusable after having been degaussed. Data Devices does offer hard drive erasers which will erase hard drives to "like new" condition and permit them to be reused. CALL US!
