The HD-2 Degausser is a continuous duty drawer-style degausser that erases all hard drive and tape formats that fit in the 6.75” x 4.5” x 1.5” degaussing chamber – including PC hard drives, LTO, SuperDLT, and DLT. The machine can be rented for a period of one month at a cost of $895.00 per month, or it can be rented for a period of one week at a cost of $595.00 per week. It can also be purchased as a remanufactured machine at a cost of $2,995.00.

This compact desk-top degausser, at only 42 pounds, is completely deployable and offers an erasure cycle time of just 60 seconds. It has been independently tested and certified to meet both ANSI and CE standards. Purchased with the optional hard Shipping and Transportation Carrying Case, the HD-2 Degausser can be shipped directly to your media, thus greatly reducing any legal exposure for potential loss of sensitive information.

Handles A Variety of Media Formats
The HD-2 Degausser will erase all hard drive and tape formats that fit in the 6.75” x 4.5” x 1.5” degaussing chamber. This unit erases hard drives and high coercivity tape media, including all formats of LTO (1, 2, 3, 4,and 5), SuperDLT I & II, DLT 1-4, 9940, 3592, and more. With a continuous duty rating (no cooling necessary) and 60 second cycle time, even large quantities of media can be handled in a reasonable period of time.

Erases Non-Functioning Drives
The HD-2's unique technology does not rely on software and thus easily and efficiently erases failed or damaged hard drives and tapes, completely and permanently, regardless of the operating system. With a 60 second erasure cycle, this unit is more efficient and much faster than software-based erasure programs.

Additionally, the HD-2 Degausser is compact and convenient, fitting easily into any desk-top office environment with its small 17.5” x 12.25” footprint. A MIL-Spec Shipping Case with Custom Foam is optionally available for deployment of the machine to remote processing sites or multi-site users. The machine can also be optionally purchased in a rack-mount version and is shipped in a mini-truck with a rolling case for ease of on-site installation.
