The HD-3WXL Degausser is the next evolution in capacitive discharge degaussing equipment built to erase today’s high coercivity HDD’s and tape media. The HD-3WXL Degausser for hard drives and LTO tape is a high energy, DC capacitive discharge degausser capable of erasing hard drives and high-coercivity tape media in under 12 seconds. The Degausser’s user-friendly input system provides effortless loading of various sized hard drives and tape media without the need for adapters. Once degaussed, the media is automatically released and slides down the exit chute.

Handles A Variety of Media Formats
The HD-3WXL Degausser will erase all hard drive and tape formats that fit in the 6.75” x 4.5” x 1.66” degaussing chamber. This unit erases hard drives and high coercivity tape media, including all formats of LTO (1, 2, 3, and 4), SuperDLT I & II, DLT, 9940, 3592, and more. With a continuous duty rating (no cooling necessary) and 12 second cycle time, even large quantities of media can be handled in a very short period of time.

Powerful 9,000 Oersted Pulse
The HD-3WXL produces an 9,000 oersted electromagnetic pulse that is several times stronger than the read/write heads in a hard drive or tape drive, making it more efficient and much faster than software-based erasure programs. Since it does not rely on software, the HD-3WXL Degausser also has the ability to erase failed or damaged hard drives and tapes, completely and permanently, regardless of the operating system.

Easy To Use
The HD-3WXL Degausser is exceptionally user-friendly. Simply slide your media into the slot on one side of the machine, push a single button, and within twelve seconds your media will discharge to the output slide on the opposite side of the machine. It just doesn’t get any easier than that!

Additionally, the HD-3WXL Degausser for hard drives and LTO tape cartridges is compact and convenient, fitting easily into any desk-top office environment with its small 22” x 12” footprint.

The machine can be rented for a minimum period of one month at a cost of $1,495.00 per month, or it can be purchased as a remanufactured machine at a cost of $6,495.00.
