With the widespread use of optical media as a means of both distributing and backing-up critical data, it is imperative that every professional environment have a CD and DVD destroyer at their ready disposal. As sensitive information is constantly being both recorded to and accessed on CDs and DVDs throughout the workday, the HSM 411 OMDD provides the optimal solution for disposal of those CDs and DVDs when they are no longer needed.

The HSM 411 OMDD Level 6 High Security NSA-Approved CD and DVD Shredder is designed for volume destruction of optical media in an office or departmental environment with constant workloads. This cross-cut machine produces a very small .086" x .157" or 2.2mm x 4.0mm particle shred size to security level 6 standards, and destroys up to 1500 CDs and DVDs per hour.

This professional shredder is constructed on casters and features a cabinet with a swing-open door. The door hides the addition of a wire frame that slides out for the ready and easy change of plastic waste bags. These disposable shred bags can be quickly and safely replaced for a clean, hassle-free shred experience.

This model features a modern electronic controller, is fully automatic and comes with a visual indicator when the shred box is almost full. The shredder will automatically power off when capacity has been reached. Simply change out the waste bag, close the door, and the shredder will resume normal operation. It also offers safety features such as automatic shutoff when the cabinet door is opened and auto reverse to prevent an overfeed. The unit also features a special safety flap that covers the feed intake when not in use.

The HSM 411 OMDD Level 6 High Security NSA-Approved Shredder employs a matched pair of solid steel cutting cylinders that are capable of reducing optical media into tiny particles. These particles are so small that they have been rendered impossible to reassemble.

This high performance model is ideal for use as an office or departmental workhorse that can be shared within an office, department or floor.
