Meets DoD Specification for the Erasure of Hard Drives
Drives Can Be Reused After Sanitization

The SuperWiper® Desktop Pro Gen 2 is an industrial and an extremely fast data erasing unit, erasing 8 SAS/SATA hard disk drives simultaneously and can be configured to supports SCSI/FC drives. The unit performs at a very high speed in a secure Linux environment and with the most efficient user-friendly application. The desktop style durable unit features an 8” detachable Touchscreen color LCD display, 8 channel open tray for easy hard drive insertion, 8 SATA/SATA-3 ports, 7 USB3.0 ports, 2 USB3.1 ports. The SuperWiper's erase application supports both hard disk drive multiple channels erase operations, as well as independent channel, erase operation.

The SuperWiper's application supports DoD 5220-22M (ECE) erase specification (With 7 writing pattern passes and one verification pass), Security Erase Protocol, Enhanced Security Erase Protocol, or User Defined Erase Settings. The user can also perform an erase verification only, or a quick formatting of the hard disk drives with a choice of many different kinds of file systems including NTFS, exFAT, FAT32, HFS+, and EX4.

The SuperWiper application is very unique, in that it gives the user a maximum throughput of erased devices. Erase simultaneously in parallel with multiple session operations of 8 1TB WD Blue Hard Disk Drives at an average speed of 8.2GB/min per one pass. Erase of 8 1TB WD Blue Hard Disk Drives with the use of DoD (ECE) protocol (7 write passes and 1 verification pass) in 14.5 hours, and with the use of Security Erase protocols in 2 hours. The erase protocols are NIST 800-88 compliance. The "User" erases mode has a full or partial optional verification pass. The unit is capable of erasing data from a maximum of 14 Storage Devices, in simultaneous operation (Not including ports via of optional expansion module). The application generates log files and NIST 800-88 erase certifications that is easily exported to USB flash drive.

The Supports is limited to the total number of available Expansion slots.
  • SCSI Expansion and Configuration Option: User can configure the unit at the time of purchasing of the main unit with SCSI controller cards. There are 2 kits available: 6 Drives SCSI and 3 Drives SCSI Support Kit. The kits includes: SCSI LVDS 3 channel cables (68pin connectors), SCSI terminators, VHDCI to SCSI adapters, SCA80 and HD50 SCSI adapters to supports old SCSI drives, external PS, and a separate SCSI drive bay that can house up to 6 SCSI drives with cooling fans. The PCIE 3.0 expansion slot do provides a very high bandwidth and the application can achieves a very high speed meeting SCSI drives transfer rates.
  • USB3.0 to SATA adapters and Kits Option: Today USB3.0 technology is extremely fast and can run read data from SSD drives up to 20GB/min. With the use of USB3.0 to SATA 4 channel Kit, user can convert 4 USB3.0 ports to 4 SATA ports. The optional Kit is supplied with one external PS and it includes all the cabling to power and connect the 4 USB3.0 to SATA adapters. The tested performance when running 4 adapters in parallel was measured at a very high speed and very little speed degradation.
  • Fiber Channel Expansion and Configuration Option: User can configure the unit at time of purchasing of the main unit with FC controller cards. The 2 drives FC KIT includes: FC dual ports 4Gigabit/s controller, 2 FC drive's Adapters, 2 Optical 1m cables, and 2 Transceivers. The PCIE 3.0 expansion slot do provides a very high bandwidth and the application can achieves a very high speed meeting FC drives transfer rates. Customer can chose to purchase up to 2 of these option to be installed on the same unit.
  • 1394 Option: The unit can be configured with 1394 PCIE controller to supports 1394 devices (1394 devices can be easily daisy chained).
  • USB3.0/SATA to M.2 (NGFF) adapters Option: Most current laptops and tablets use M.2 (NGFF) Storage devices. This adapter supports connectivity to some of the newest M.2 SSD storage (Storage that supported by SATA Protocols). There is a class of SSD drives, with NGFF connectors, that are not supported by SATA protocols, and are not supported by those adapters. The M.2 NGFF connectors, for instance, came in a variety of models(B, M, B+M), and were not standardized until 2014. There 2 types of adapters that supports M.2 NGFF: one is USB3.0 to M.2 and the second is SATA to M.2
