The Model 0101 Sledgehammer Hard Drive Crusher is a physical destroyer that destroys hard drives in order to ensure the information contained on the hard drive is no longer accessible.

This hard drive "crusher" destroys all hard drives regardless of their size, format or type (from .65 to 1.85 inch) including desktop and laptop drives. This model includes a lockable hard plastic case with retractable handle and smooth rolling wheels for easy transportation to the site of hard drive destruction or to multiple working sites.

At the touch of a button, the Model 0101 Sledgehammer Hard Drive Crusher delivers a staggering 12,000 pounds of force to a conical punch causing catastrophic trauma to the hard drive chassis while destroying the internal platter. The unit is quiet, smooth and virtually vibration free. The transportation/shipping case permits the crusher to be shipped to remote sites, customer sites, or rolled to the site of the drives to be destroyed.

Destruction takes only 10 seconds. This machine can destroy up to four laptop drives in one 10 second cycle.

The Sledgehammer Hard Drive physical destroyer automatically bends, breaks and mangles the hard drive - including the data platters upon which data is stored. Physical drive destruction prevents the drive from being able to "spin" up, thus the data cannot be retrieved. Once the Hard Drive is destroyed, the data will no longer be retrievable.

As the destruction process changes the physicality of the HD, drives that have been physically destroyed are easy to separate out for disposal. You're assured that no readable drives will be accidentally released from the premesis.

A safety interlock prevents operation of the hard drive crusher while the door is open to protect operators, and an emergency e-stop instantly halts operation when pressed.
