The VS4000 has been especially designed to provide a professional CD and DVD case wrapping facility.

Operators wishing to wrap small to medium quantities of CD and DVD cases can now achieve a quality finish equal to the standard of more expensive finishing machines, with the VS4000 series of over-wrappers.

Available for standard jewel cases (the VS4000), slim line jewel cases (the VS4000sl) and DVD, “Amaray” type cases (the VS4000-DVD), these tabletop units are dedicated to small or medium scale production of discs and are a cost effective solution providing professionally finished packaging for short run work, at a tenth of the cost of industrial equipment.

The VS4000 is a tabletop mounted unit, which can be easily transported if required. The semi-automatic operation is simple and effective. The first seal is effected manually and the finishing folds and seal are completed automatically.

Easy To Use
The semi-automatic operation is simple and effective. A pre-cut sheet of polypropylene wrapping material is placed on the manual platform. The case is simply placed on the pre-cut sheet and the operator closes the cover, which tensions the wrapping and makes the first heat-seal. The case is then placed into the hopper for the second fold and seal operation, which is fully automatic. The result is a professionally folded and sealed CD or DVD case.

The sealing temperature is electronically controlled and can be set to the desired value. An electronic security system stops the machine operating in the case of incorrect usage.The result is a professionally folded and sealed CD or DVD case suitable for even the best retail presentations and all this for a fraction of the cost of outsourcing.

The VS4000-DVD for wrapping Amaray DVD cases
The VS4000-DVD is for wrapping standard DVD Amaray type cases and has a throughput of up to 200 per hour.

VS4000X Option
The VS4000X has been designed to be used with the VS4000 to increase the wrapping capacity to 500 cases per hour. This small table top additional unit enables one operator to complete the first stage. The operator simply places the jewel case onto the pre-cut sheet, closes the cover, which automatically tensions the wrapper and makes the first weld. The operator then drops the jewel case into the hopper of the main VS4000 wrapper to automatically complete the operation. With the combination of the VS4000 and the VS4000X operators can achieve a throughput of over 500 jewel cases per hour. The semi-automatic operation is simple and efficient for a single machine operator. There are four simple operating steps:

Place pre-cut sheets of polypropylene wrapping material in the machine folding tray.
Place the completed Jewel Case with CD onto the pre-cut sheet.
Close the cover to shrink the wrapper and make the first heat seal.
Drop the Jewel Case into the hopper for the second and final heat seal.

The VS 4000 wrapping machine can be purchased on an as-available basis in completely refurbished condition (with a new machine warranty) at a price of only $2,995.00. The machine can also be rented at a cost of $500.00 per month plus shipping costs. Polypropylene wrapping material is supplied in boxes of 10,000 sheets from Data Devices.
