Its attractive design and large waste bin make this a nice addition to any large office, copy room or communications center.

Dahle office shredders are designed to accommodate the needs of most busy office environments and are ideal for shredding between 2,000 and 12,000 sheets of paper per day.

The Dahle 20814 Department Shredder is built with a 16" feed opening to accommodate letter, legal and wide computer paper with ease. This cross-cut machine produces a very small 1/12" x 9/16" particle shred size to security level 4 standards. It can shred between 16-18 pages at a time. It features a large capacity waste bin capable of holding 35 gallons of shredded material.

This professional shredder is constructed using a wooden cabinet with a swing-open door. The door hides the addition of a removable Shred Box that facilitates the ready and easy change of waste bags. This box can be easily lined with disposable shred bags, which can be quickly and safely removed and replaced for a clean, hassle-free shred experience.

In order to provide slip free power to the cutting cylinders, a steel chain and gears connect the two components and provide maximum shredding capacity. Removing staples and paper clips are a thing of the past. Dahle shredders can easily accommodate these items without harming the cutting blades and save you time in the process.

This model comes with a visual indicator when the shred box is almost full. The shredder will automaticall power off when capacity has been reached. Simply change out the waste bag, close the door, and the shredder will resume normal operation. In addition, the shredder automatically powers off when the cabinet door is opened. This unit will also Auto Reverse in the event of an overfeed.

Properly oiling this department shredder is the key to maintaining optimal performance. Due to its function, this department shredder should be placed in a common area and have multiple users. As a smart alternative of ensuring your machine receives proper oil, we recommend adding an optional automatic oiler.
