The Rapid Image 2.5" Master Caddy option is easy-to-install hardware that allows the user to expand the RI Master Caddy capabilities to support 2.5" hard drives.

The Rapid Image 2.5” source drive bay option provides a cable-free mounting solution for 2.5” SATA and 2.5” SAS drives. The option is supplied with 2.5” Source Drive Bay Mounting Brackets and Drive Bay Caddies with a drive locking mechanism.

The 2.5” hard drives would first be secured to the 2.5” drive bay caddies which have a drive locking mechanism. The 2.5” Drive Bay Caddies can then be easily inserted into the 2.5” Source Drive Bay Mounting Brackets and locked into place. The drive locking mechanism helps reduce vibration effects.

Separate 2.5” Drive Bay Brackets are supplied for the higher 2.5” SAS Form Factor sized drives. The SAS form factor drive bay brackets are higher than the S-ATA form factor drive bay brackets.

The 2.5" Master Caddy Option is available in combination with the Rapid Image product line.
