The ObliTERAtor 2.0 20,000 Gauss High Energy Degausser for Computer Hard Drives and High Oersted Media is a new, patented degausser engineered to erase various forms of high-Oersted computer hard drives and tape cartridges. Its Effective Magnetic Field (EMF) of 2 Tesla or 20,000 gauss is the most powerful commercial degausser currently available on the market. It's rated to erase computer hard drives and magnetic media up to 6500 Oersted and will erase any media that fits into the input slot.

The 20,000 gauss rating of the ObliTERAtor 2.0 degausser is powerful enough to erase all data on any computer tape or hard drive with maximum physical dimensions of less than 6" x 4" x 1". This new, patented design, using permanent magnets, permits the machine to operate 24 hours per day and seven days per week. The machine generates no heat and thus no cool down time is required.

The O-2 degausser offers new degaussing technology that provides the highest rated gauss rating on the commercial market today: an Effective Magnetic Field (EMF) of 2 Tesla or 20,000 gauss. The degausser’s user-friendly input system provides effortless loading of various sized hard drives and tape media without the need for adapters. Simply slide the hard drive or tape cartridge into the opening, push the start button, and it emerges completely erased. As the very high gauss rating is several times stronger than the read/write heads in a hard drive or tape drive, this degausser is more efficient and much faster than software-based erasure programs. Since it does not rely on software, the Obliterator 2.0 Degausser also has the ability to erase failed or damaged hard drives and tapes, completely and permanently, regardless of the operating system.
