The DriveLock and PCI-IDE Controller Kit with external IDE connector gives you the ability to connect the DriveLock and the suspect or evidence hard drive externally to your computer without opening the case.

The DriveLock and PCI-IDE Controller Kit write protect device prevents data writes to the PATA hard drive. It is an Ideal tool for computer forensic applications, designed to block write commands sent to the hard drive while being previewed or duplicated.

Write Protection Through PATA Interface: Provides write block protection for drives connected through the PC’s PATA Interface.
High Speed Operation: Supports PATA PIO and UDMA transfer protocols.
Multiple Media Support: Supports PATA hard disk drives and supports SATA drives using special SATA adapters.  Notebook drives are also supported using the unit’s built in 2.5” interface connector.
Portable: The unit’s small size and light weight allows for complete portability and ease of use in the field.
Preview and Acquire: Provides a forensically safe environment to quickly preview and acquire data from drives.
Ease of Use: No additional software drivers are required for operation.

Optional Hardware

Serial-ATA Adapter: The Single Channel SATA adapter is available to support SATA drives.  The SATA adapter provides a write protect solution for SATA drives when used in combination with the Drive Lock IDE device.
