The DriveLock IDE device is a hardware write protect solution which prevents data writes to hard disk drives connected to a computer’s PATA interface.

Designed exclusively for forensic applications, the DriveLock IDE device provides a secure hardware write protect solution for hard disk drives. Sensitive forensic hard disk drive data can be previewed, acquired or analyzed without altering the drive’s contents. The device is designed to block write commands sent to hard disk drives connected through the computer’s PATA interface. No special software is needed. The unit is compact and is easily portable. The DriveLock IDE device is an important addition for any forensic tool kit.

The DriveLock IDE write protect device prevents data writes to PATA hard drives. This write protect device would also block Serial ATA hard drives using the SATA option. It is an ideal tool for computer forensic applications, designed to block write commands sent to the hard drive while previewed or duplicated.

Optional Hardware

Serial-ATA Adapter: The Single Channel SATA adapter is available to support SATA drives.  The SATA adapter provides a write protect solution for SATA drives when used in combination with the DriveLock IDE device.
