The Erase-O-Matic 3 Degausser for Computer Hard Drives and High Oersted Media is a new, patented degausser engineered to erase various forms of high-Oersted computer hard drives and tape cartridges, including LTO-1, LTO-2, LTO-3, LTO-4, SDLT I, SDLT II, 3480, 3490, 3590, 9840, 9940, 4MM & 8MM, digital video, Zip and Jazz disks, AIT & S-AIT, computer hard drives, and more.

Specifically designed to erase perpendicular and longitudinal hard disk drives up to 1.5 terabytes (1500 Gb), this new, low-cost degausser enables businesses and organizations with computer tape and HD libraries to erase and recycle their computer data storage media.*

The EOM3's 6700 gauss rating is powerful enough to erase all data on any tape or PC diskette media and most hard drives when properly passed through the 5" x 1.37" media pathway.

The Latest Technology
Powerful and quiet enough to use at your office desk, the EOM3 utilizes the latest permanent magnet technology instead of electricity, making this unit fully portable and deployable for use in mobile degaussing applications. Inside the unit, there is a 2 1/2 pound core of rectangular-shaped structural steel that surrounds the permanent magnets. This steel core concentrates the magnetic field around your media, providing top-quality erasure.

Simple and Quiet Two-Pass Operation
Slide your tape cartridge through the slot opening of the 6700 Gauss magnetic field of the degausser. The proper (most effective) way to pass media through the media pathway is: All tapes should be passed once then rotated 180 degrees and passed again. A hard drive (end A first) should be passed once, rotated 180 degrees and passed again, then (with end B first) pass it again , rotate 180 degrees and pass again. These multiple passes will ensure that all portions of the media will receive maximum exposure to the powerful magnets within the media pathway. Flip the cartridge over and slide it through again. Your tape is erased. Operation is so quiet and convenient, this degausser can be used on your office desktop.

Mobile and Deployable: No External Power Required
This degausser uses permanent magnets and is thus a stand-alone unit that does not require electrical power. It is fully deployable for on-site and emergency degaussing.

Continuous Duty Erasure
Most degaussers require electrical power for erasure. Thus, many degaussers overheat and need time to cool down. As this unit employs permanent magnets and does not overheat, it has a continuous duty cycle and can be run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Reliable and Rugged: No Maintenance Required
As there are no moving or electrical parts that degrade with use, the Erase-O-Matic 3 Degausser doesn't require routine maintenance.

Excellent Warranty
This unit comes standard with a one year warranty. An optional two year extended warranty is available that covers every malfunction of any kind, including dropping the machine or damaging the wood casing. Should anything go wrong with your Erase-O-Matic 3 within that timeframe, simply return the damaged unit to us, and we will ship you a replacement unit immediately.

The Erase-O-Matic 3 is available for RENT for $250 per week or $400 per month. If you decide to purchase it during the rental period, your full rental fee will be applied to the purchase price.
