The MDS-5 high energy bulk eraser is an inexpensive, powerful degausser which incorporates cooling fans to enhance productivity. This lightweight, low cost, table top model provides 100% erasure on DLT, SDLT 1, and LTO 1 tape cartridges, as well as Beta SP, many forms of digital video tape, and DAT tape cartridges.

It is designed to handle all metal particle tape and hard-to-erase media. It is suitable for data processing centers, data security installations, and media users who must erase a wide variety of different kinds of media.
