CDS-1500A High Speed Conveyor Degausser (Remanufactured)

The CDS-1500A Professional Degausser is an economical means of erasing a wide variety of magnetic media. It speeds up the degaussing process of both high and low density DVCAM, DVC Pro, 4mm, 8mm, DLT, 3480/3490 data cartridges and more. Complete erasure is accomplished as the conveyor belt transports the media through strong horizontal and vertical degaussing fields produced by the degaussing coil. For added convenience, the conveyor belt speed can easily be adjusted up to 60 feet per minute. At this rate, the CDS-1500A will erase more than 200 cartridges/cassettes per minute.

Degaussing Coil

The degaussing field strength switch provides the option to change between high and low field strengths. It is like having two degaussers in one. The low setting provides a continuous duty degausser to erase more than 45 VHS/SVHS or 3480/3490/3490e cartridges per minute without overheating. The high setting erases DLT, 4mm, 8mm DVCPRO, and DVCam. Two thermal detection units have been wound into each coil to ensure that the operating temperature is safely maintained. When in operation, the coils are cooled by fans which are automatically turned on and off.
