The Erase-O-Matic Degausser for Computer Tape Media is a new, patented degausser engineered to erase various forms of high-Oersted computer tape cartridges, including LTO-1, LTO-2, 3480, 3490, 3490e, 4MM & 8MM, digital video, Zip and Jazz disks, AIT & S-AIT, and more. This new, low-cost degausser enables personal users and small offices with small tape libraries to erase and recycle their computer tape*. Powerful and quiet enough to use at your office desk, this unit uses the latest permanent magnet technology instead of electricity.
Simple and Quiet Two-Pass Operation
Slide your tape cartridge through the slot opening of the degausser. Flip the cartridge over and slide it through again. Your tape is erased.
Mobile and Deployable: No External Power Required
This degausser uses permanent magnets and is thus a stand-alone unit that does not require electrical power. It is fully deployable and transportable for on-site and emergency degaussing.
Continuous Duty Erasure
Most degaussers require electrical power for erasure. Thus, many degaussers overheat and need time to cool down. As this unit employs permanent magnets and does not overheat, it has a continuous duty cycle and can be run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Reliable and Rugged
As there are no moving or electrical parts that degrade with use, the Erase-O-Matic Degausser for Computer Tape Media requires very little maintenance to prevent or repair problems. A water-tight, rugged, portable transportation case is available to store and carry the degausser at a cost of $95.00. This unit comes standard with a one year warranty, and an optional 3 year extended warranty is also available for $65.00.

This unit is available for rental for $50.00 per week and comes shipped in a heavy-duty transportation case.
