The Data Security Type II Degausser is ideal for the Data Processing or Data Reduction environment. Whether you are supporting computer rooms, work stations, or PCs, the Type II will handle all your erasing needs. It is approved for erasure of classified information on data cartridges, reels, removable disk cartridges, floppy disks, hard-disk platters, and any other magnetic media with dimensions up to 1.25 inches by 14 inches and coercivity up to 750 oersteds.

The Type II Degausser is also perfect for a wide variety of video formats. It is DoD approved for erasure of classified information on standard coercivity video reels and cassettes, such as VHS, ¾" U-matic, Betacam, and C-format. For tape maintenance, the Type II completely erases new video formats, such as S-VHS, D1, D2, Betacam SP, MII and 8mm. The machine meets DoD 5200.28-M requirements for purging classified information for media up to 750 Oersteds, including D1, S-VHS, Ampex 722 reels and all Type II media.
