The Rimage Prism Thermal CD & DVD Printer offers an impressive range of features to users who duplicate CD-Rs or other 120 mm optical media, such as CD-RW, DVD-R, and DVD-RAM. The printer is capable of on-demand printing at fast print speeds, and its rugged durability permits 24/7 usage. Users can print high durable text and colorful graphics onto a wide variety of standard lacquer surface media discs, eliminating the requirement for special printable surfaces.

The Rimage thermal printer can print CDs at resolutions of up to 300 x 600 dpi, and it has a printing speed of about 50 seconds per disc (depending on image resolution and printer mode).

As thermal transfers are used in the print process, the drying time required for some other printing methods is eliminated. Cost per copy is also very affordable when compared to other printing methods. The low cost thermal three color ribbon can produce 500 color images and a monochrome ribbon can print up to 2100 images. The printer will print high speed mono or block color graphics, but it is not suitable for reproducing photo graphics.
